In service of Pop Sustainability's mission and vision, there are 4 key action areas to be addressed:

Sustainability Education and Awareness

  • Pop Sustainability's global education and awareness campaign will raise awareness of issues crucial to sustainability, inspiring documentable action by at least 500 million young adults and creating a broad context for understanding sustainability. We are ultimately raising the question: "What does sustainability mean to you?"

    Empowerment and Training

  • Pop Sustainability initiates at least 100 local awareness and action campaigns lead by 500 university youth leaders. These campaigns inspire a documentable action by at least 50,000 young people with a message relating to the principles and practices of sustainability. Local media coverage reaches an additional 1 million young adults influencing style and behavior patterns with the message of each campaign. Pop Sustainability's "how to" Do-It-Yourself kit is made readily available and inspires additional awareness and action campaigns.

    Mainstream and Interactive Media Programming

  • Through ThinkPop.org, Pop Sustainability provides an interactive platform to communicate with the youth audience and to promote a creative youth culture for sustainability. The next generation of such programming involves filming the live events associated with our awareness and action campaigns for reality-based interactive television for an estimated viewing base of 1 billion young adults. In addition, Pop Sustainability develops a reality-based game for young adults to play both online and through mobile technology.

    Youth Marketing Studies

  • Before, during and after Pop Sustainability's awareness and action campaigns, we collect information related to our target audience and their preferences, affinities and understanding of sustainability. By condensing this information into useful quantitative and qualitative feedback, Pop Sustainability aids hundreds of companies and non-profit organizations in better communicating to our audience and meeting the growing demand for more sustainable products and services.
